New Delhi, Jul 3: Subramanian Swamy, Janata Party president, has written a leeter to PM alleging that Jet-Etihad deal was a fraudulent one as the FIPB clearance was not legally valid.
Stressing on the need for re-examining the Air Asia deal , Swamy said that the Yechury Committee has also raised questions of irregularity.
“It is the duty of the Opposition to bring the corruption to public records. The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) would have cleared the project, had I not written that letter,” Swamy told a news channel.
“It is clearly an attempt to cause a collapse of many of our domestic airlines, creating a systemic risk for financial institutions, loss to public exchequer and a vital gap in the country's infrastructure,” Swamy has written in his letter to the PM.
Subramanian Swamy is yet to get any response from the PM.
