Patna, Jul 16: JD(U) today said there were no differences within the NDA over the vice-presidential poll and BJP leader Jaswant Singh has been unanimously selected for the post.
“Singh's selection as a candidate for the post of vice-president was unanimous,” party leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar told reporters on the sideline of his ‘Janata Darbar' programme here.
On the prospects of Singh's victory, Kumar said, “After entering the fray, we don't see victory or defeat.” He also denied differences within the NDA over the issue of the vice-presidential election.
The JD(U) is, however, supporting UPA's Pranab Mukherjee for the post of president.
