JHARKHAND:
In Jharkhand, the BJP is in sight of scoring a majority with a projected range of 37-45 seats in a House of 81, says the exit poll.
In Jharkhand, the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led by the Soren father-son duo, is project to emerge as second largest party with a seat range of 15-23, while the exit poll predicts 4-8 seats for Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, 3-7 seats for Congress and 7-13 seats for 'Others'.
In the previous assembly polls, the JMM and BJP had won 18 seats each, Congress had won 14, JVM had won 11 and 'Others' 20 seats.
Voting percentage wise, the exit poll predicts a 16 pc swing in favour of BJP, followed by JMM 4 pc, Congress -12 pc, JVM -1 pc and 'Others' -9 pc.
Region wise, BJP is projected to win 18-20 seats in Chhotanagpur region, followed by JMM 2-4, JVM 1-3, Congress 0-2 and Others 2-4 seats out of a total of 28 seats.
In Jharkhand's Kolhan region which has 12 seats, BJP is projected to win 6-8 seats, followed by JMM with 2-4 seats, Congress 0-1 seat, JVM 0-1 seat and Others 1-3 seats.
In Kolanchal region having a total of 12 seats, BJP is projected to win 4-6 seats, followed by JMM with 2-4, JVM 0-2, Congress 0-2 and Others 1-3 seats.
In Palamau region with a total of 11 seats, BJP is projected to win 3-5 seats, followed by JMM with 0-2 seats, JVM 1-3, Congress 1-3 and Others 1-3 seats.
The exit poll data have been weighted to known census profile and the margin of error is plus/minus 3 pc at state level and plus/minus 5 pc at regional level, according to C-Voter, which conducted the exit poll.
