Jammu: Alleging that Congress, NC and PDP have "shattered" people's faith, BJP today said residents of Jammu and Kashmir are looking at the saffron party as an alternative because of "people-friendly" policies of Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.

"The faith of people has been shattered by Congress, NC and PDP and they are looking for an alternative. Now, they have been displaying their faith in BJP as inspired by the Narendra Modi wave," party MP & J&K incharge Avinash Rai Khanna said here today.

"The graph of BJP is going up and the other parties are feeling isolated. It is because of the people-friendly policies of the Modi-led NDA government and working culture of the Prime Minister which have made the people to understand that it is only Modi and his party BJP which is committed for the cause of the citizens," he said.

Khanna claimed the party's 'Mission 44+' is receiving an overwhelming response.

Meanwhile, after Congress ex-Mayor Manmohan Choudhary joined the party yesterday, more Congress leaders?-former State General Secretary and Coordinator for Kashmir Abdul Jabar, State Organising Secretary, Rahul Fans Association Jammu Province General Secretary & Ramban District Incharge Ajaz Ahmed Wani-- also embraced BJP today.

They were welcomed to the party fold by Khanna, BJP Morcha and Cells National Incharge Mohinder Pandey, State Vice-President Ramesh Arora and other party leaders.
