New Delhi: Polling has ended for third phase of assembly elections in J&K and Jharkhand.
According to EC, Jammu and Kashmir recorded 58% turnout in 16 assembly constituencies that went to polls today.
This can be termed as impressive because they braved cold and threat from terrorists and came out to vote in large numbers.
Jharkhand, on the other hand, recorded 61% voting in 17 assembly constituencies that went to polls today.
17 seats of Jharkhand and 16 of Jammu and Kashmir went to polls today in the third leg of the five-phase Assembly elections.

In this phase, 289 candidates, including 26 females, are in the fray for 17 of the total 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand.
In Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and three of his cabinet colleagues are among 144 candidates whose fate will be decided today in the third phase of polling in 16 seats spread across Budgam, Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
