Yeddyurappa married Mythradevi who was the daughter of Veerbhadra Shashtri, the rice mill owner. Together they have 5 children, two sons Raghavendra and Vijayendra and three daughters Arunadevi, Padmavati and Umadevi. His wife died after falling into a sewer.
