New Delhi: The Indian airspace has been violated thirty times by foreign aircraft in the past two years, the government said today.
In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh said since January 2013 till November 30, 2015, a total of 32 violations of Indian airspace by aircraft from other countries have been reported.
The reasons for such violations could not be ascertained, Singh said, adding that during the same period there has been no violation of Indian maritime boundary by any country.
The minister said that all such cases are taken up with the concerned countries through laid down channels as per established procedure.
