New Delhi: Keeping up the attack on Priyanka Gandhi over her ‘neech rajniti' comments, Narendra Modi today said those behind rotting of foodgrains in godowns and the CWG scam are the ones who are doing “neech rajniti”. Addressing an election rally, the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate was unsparing in his criticism of Congress and said the party is in such a “bad shape” that it is finding it difficult to “save” Amethi, which has gone to polls today and from where Rahul Gandhi is seeking election for a third straight time.“What is neech rajniti? Grains rot and rats eat them. Supreme Court says distribute it among the poor but Delhi government turns it down even though the poor children are staring... It then sells it to liquor manufacturers. This is neech rajniti and neech karm (low-level action),” he charged. “They made money from toilet papers in CWG.... Pak beheads our soldiers and our government treats its prime minister to chicken biryani. This is low-level politics. Will you pardon it?,” he said.“Similarly, you looted coal meant for power generation ... did not it amount to low level of politics?” he asked. Modi said this election is for change and asked people to send maximum BJP candidates to Lok Sabha. Wooing farmers, he said BJP has worked out a formula for the minimum support price for their grains which will ensure that they are not “exploited” by the nexus of government officials and traders and get 50 percent profit over their investment. The Gujarat Chief Minister accused the Congress of hurling abuse at him every day apparently rattled by the rout awaiting them in the polls.“The Congress leaders get into huddle every day to find new pejoratives to throw in order to stop me from coming to power,” Modi said.Claiming that the Congress was working on a single mission to stop him, he said, “It appears that the Congress is worried that a tea seller and a son of a poor family is challenging them and that's why it has been hatching one conspiracy after another to stop me at all costs. “It is for you to decide what you want in the elections,” he said.Addressing a second election meeting at Bettiah, Modi again attacked the Congress for the ‘neech rajniti' remarks. He also raised the Adarsh housing scam and non-utilisation of the Nirbhaya Fund to criticise the UPA government's commitment to women and their security. Modi also took a dig at the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's campaign in his parliamentary constituency of Amethi, saying that even the mighty have to sweat it out when the mood of the public changed.He attacked Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son for not catering to development of their respective parliamentary constituencies - Amethi and Rae Bareli - and alleged that the two had not even provided drinking water to their constituents.Recalling Congress president's reported barb at him for begging the people to make him the PM, he said that coming from a poor and humble background he had no problem with seeking favour from the people, but he would not loot the country unlike the incumbent government. Charging that the Gandhi family thinks that the country and its people were in their pocket for all times, Modi claimed that he had destroyed “fiefdom” of Sonia and her son with the help of the people.Criticising the Congress for not catering to the welfare of the tribals during its long rule at the Centre, Modi said that it was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who set up a ministry, appointed a minister and provided funds for their welfare during NDA rule.Claiming that the defeat of the Congress-led government was certain from the very outset of the announcement of the poll schedule two months ago, Modi said the public mood for change of guard at the Centre was visible on the ground for some time.Sympathising with the plight of sugarcane farmers, he suggested that the Gujarat model might work here under which they could set up cooperative sugar mills fully owned and run by them as was the case in his state.Taking a jibe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her "continuous attacks" on him, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Wednesday urged her not to get "too angry" lest she falls ill."Don't get too angry didi (Banerjee)... why are you so upset if the people of Bengal love us? Control your anger, I am worried that you may fall ill," the Bharatiya Janata Party leader said at a rally here."Didi's continuous attacks don't bother me but it seems her agenda is limited to just asking people to stop Modi. She cannot go beyond that... why are you afraid of Modi?" he asked."For 40 years, you have been ruled by the Left, Congress and now Trinamool Congress. Has there been any development?" asked Modi to which the crowd replied "no"."Didi, you are a tigress, then why are the daughters of Bengal being raped under your rule? Why is Bengal one of the states which sees maximum crimes against women?" asked Modi in another swipe at Banerjee who had said there was a difference between a 'paper tiger', referring to Modi, and a Royal Bengal tiger.Modi also attacked Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi and blamed their "arrogance" as the reason behind their "downfall".
