Kaushambi: In protest to AAP leader Prashant Bhushan's statement on Kashmir, a group of people belonging to 'Hindu Raksha Dal' attacked the Kaushambi office of AAP this morning. The attackers, numbering around 40, barged into the Aam Aadmi Party office, stoned it heavily shattering windows, broke flower pots and abused AAP leaders, according to Dilip Pandey, an AAP leader who was at the site. Before fleeing after some 20 minutes, the attackers threatened to attack AAP leaders in the future too.Pandey said they were from a group called Hindu Raksha Sena."All our volunteers were asked to get inside (the office) when the attack took place," Pandey said, adding the attackers raised slogans against a particular community. The protestors were agitated over the statement of senior AAP leader Prashant Bhushan who had advocated a plebiscite in Kashmir on deploying army in the state.Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas had, however, publically dissociated the party from Prashant Bhishan's stand on plebiscite in Kashmir.Vishnu Gupta, president of Hindu Raksha Sena, claimed that members of his group were part of this protest. He also claimed that members of Sriram Sene as well as Bajrand Dal also participated in this protest.Superintendent of Police Muniraj said a police complaint had been registered and police officers had been assigned to arrest the culprits.Muniraj has also said that the AAP office would now be given security. Some witnesses had furnished the police the registration numbers of the cars in which the men reached the AAP office. "We are hopeful of arresting them," Muniraj said.Meanwhile, Supreme Court lawyer and Aam Aadmi Party leader Prashant Bhushan today alleged that the attackers on AAP office in Kaushambi belonged to BJP.Speaking to reporters, Bhushan said, such fascist, communal and lumpen elements were out to browbeat the AAP, but the party would not be cowed down.He pointed out that the earlier attack of Hindu fundamentalists on him (when his face was blackened inside Supreme Court chamber) was carried out by the same people who attacked AAP office."The Sangh Parivar is perturbed over the nationwide popularity of Aam Aadmi Party and is now restoring to fascist tactics. This shows their character. They are communal, fascist and lumpen elements. Sometimes they use the name of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, now they have used a different name", he said.Reacting to the attack on AAP office by ‘Hindu Raksha Dal' over the Kashmir remarks of Prashant Bhushant, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today wondered whether the protestors want to kill Prashant Bhushan for his remarks.“ Do the protestors want to kill Prashant Bhushan even after his clarification that he does not support referendum in Kashmir? Will Kashmir issue be resolved by killing us?” asked Kejriwal.
