New Delhi, Apr 22: UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is confused over the secular credentials of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who has rejected the candidature of Narendra Modi for PM post saying NDA's leader should be secular.

Taking a dig at Nitish Kumar's attempt to portray himself as a secular leader, Akhilesh told a leading business daily, “He is called a secular leader. How secular he can prove himself to be, I cannot say. I fail to understand how you can be secular while being with BJP. I get confused sometimes.”

On Narendra Modi's candidature for PM post, Akhilesh said that Modi is just in media and Gujarat and nowhere else.  He underlined the fact that Modi had campaigned in UP in the past but could not do wonders.

On Rahul Gandhi's prospects for the top job, Akhilesh said that he is a leader of the future but nobody knows when that future will come.

Akhilesh also blamed Advani for playing emotional politics.  He said that Mulayam trusted Advani's account of poor law and order in UP because Advani used emotions while playing politics.

Akhilesh Yadav sounded very confident on SP's prospects in 2014 general elections and said that without Samajwadi Party no government will be formed.
