Chandigarh, Oct 12: The Election Commission today said proceedings inside polling stations during the October 13 Hisar Lok Sabha bypoll would be videographed.
The decision in this regard was taken last week, Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer Sumita Misra said here.
She said for the first time people would be able to view live shots of polling over the Internet and the video link would be available on website e-hisar.in.
As many as 13.32 lakh voters, 7.29 lakh males and 6.02 lakh females, will exercise their franchise at 1,506 polling booths set up at 809 locations in nine Assembly segments falling in the Parliamentary constituency.
Misra said 40 companies of central forces have been deployed in addition to the police force to ensure free and fair elections. PTI
