New Delhi: Terming the changes announced by the government in the civil services preliminary exams as “eyewash”, NSUI today said the Centre has “cheated” lakhs of UPSC aspirants.
National Students Union of India (NSUI) alleged the decision is nothing more than an “eyewash” for the millions of students who have been relentlessly protesting against the CSAT.
“Government does not talk about translation part which is a major demand of the protesters. Centre has cheated students with its announcement,” NSUI spokesperson Amrish Ranjan Pandey said.
Pandey said, “The CSAT issue was not just about English versus Hindi.
It was also about humanities versus science students, which remains unaddressed. Humanities students will be continued to be discriminated.”
The NSUI said it will continue its protest in support of the students and launch a nation-wide movement on the issue to mobilise support.
