Panaji, Jan 28: Goa will have a fully-operational office of Lokayukta by the end of March this year, Governor B.V. Wanchoo told the state assembly Monday.
"The office of the Lokayukta will be fully-functional by the end of March," Wanchoo said during his address in the state legislative assembly when it met for this year's first session.
The governor also said that the state government would hand over all the cases related to illegal mining in the state for an investigation by a committee appointed by the Lokayukta.
"All cases related to illegal mining will be forwarded to the committee headed by Justice R.M.S. Khandeparkar and it will suggest action," Wanchoo said.
