Patna, July 13: Union Law Minister Salman Khursheed on Thursday said after projection of Pranab Mukherjee as presidential candidate by UPA, efforts were being made to forge consensus for the candidature for the post of vice-president.
Talking to reporters here, Khursheed who is here to attend a party function, said efforts were on to forge a consensus for the candidature of vice president after UPA elicited wide support in favour of Pranab Mukherjee as the presidential candidate.
The Prime Minister has taken initiative for evolving consensus over the candidature for the post of vice president.
Khursheed, however, evaded a question as to whether the Congress was looking JD-U as its possible ally in 2014 general elections.
