Thawar Chand Gehlot: BA


Thawar Chand Gehlot is union cabinet minister for Social Justice and Empowerment.
 
He is a Rajya Sabha MP of BJP  from Madhya Pradesh.

He represented the Shajapur constituency of Madhya Pradesh in the 11th, 12th, 13th & 14th Lok Sabhas.

In 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies Shajapur constituency ceased to exist and Dewas constituency came into being.

Mr Gehlot is a leader of the Dalit community and he has won from Dewas Lok Sabha constituency this time.

He had lost the 2009 Lok Sabha polls to Sajjan Singh Verma of the Congress. Mr Gehlot became a member of the Rajya Sabha in 2013.
