Attacking Shiv Sena for its protest against the screening of Shahrukh Khan-starrer 'My Name is Khan', Congress on Wednesday in Chandigarh said movies should not be used for drawing political mileage.

"Wisdom should prevail on Shiv Sena and the Sainiks must withdraw their agitation against the film," Congress MP Rajeev Shukla told reporters here on the sidelines of the 15th All India Whips conference here.

The Shiv Sena want to draw political mileage through a film, he said, adding that instead the party should raise issues concerning the people.

Shukla said Khan had not made any adverse remarks and film fans should not be deprived of entertainment.

He said the Maharashtra Government has made elaborate arrangements for the release of the film on February 12.

Meanwhile, multiplexes in Mumbai stopped the advance bookings for the movie in the wake of violent protests by Shiv Sena activists over the actor's remarks supporting the inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL. PTI
