Chennai: Hitting out at BJP government, DMK Chief M Karunanidhi today said contrary to the promises made by it before the polls, it was indulging in activities which has “created strong dissatisfaction” among the people.
Referring to media reports that the Home Ministry has issued a circular to public sector banks asking them to also use Hindi in e-mail and short messaging service transactions to customers, he said: “Contrary to the promise made by it before the polls, the BJP government is indulging in activities which has created strong dissatisfaction among the people.”
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Central Government have turned a blind eye to it. I urge the Centre to correct its stand in these issues”, he said.
“Despite the DMK expressing its opposition, the Centre is continuing to take such steps”, he charged.
