Bhopal, Apr 16 : Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh today hailed the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to human rights activist Binayak Sen, sentenced to life imprisonment by a Chhattisgarh trial court for sedition and helping Naxals to set up a network to fight the State.
“I am really happy that Sen, whom I know personally, has been granted bail by the Supreme Court,” the Congress General Secretary told PTI here.
While granting relief to the 61-year-old doctor-activist yesterday, the apex court had noted that no case of sedition was made out against him. PTI
