New Delhi: The speculations and predictions for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections are running in full speed. Every major survey puts AAP in the lead but the betting market (satta bazaar) of Delhi still calls BJP its favorite.
The recent survey by ABP-Nielsen says that Aam Aadmi Party will get 35 seats in 70 member Delhi assembly. The survey puts the BJP's seats at 29 and the Congress' at 6. The survey predicts that AAP will be the largest party but will still fall short of the majority.
On the other hand the local betting market is still hopeful of BJP's win. The illegal betting market predicts that BJP will get 38-39 seats, AAP 26-27 and Congress 4-5.
Most of the bets are being placed on Kiran Bedi as CM. The latest rate for BJP in the market is placed at 1:36 that means in the case of BJP's win, one would get Rs 36,000 for every lakh.
However, the bet of same amount on AAP will fetch Rs 2.5 lakh in case of its win.
Apart from the number of seats and the CM post, the bets are being placed on individual candidates from all 70 candidates. The rates for each constituency are different, depending upon the different factors.
