New Delhi: Bharaitya Janata Party (BJP) chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi today started her day with ‘arghya' (offering water) to the rising Sun.
Bedi also exercised her franchise and made an appeal to the people of Delhi to come out from their house to elect a majority and powerful government.

“I appeal every people to come out and exercise the voting right. Today people will decide what they want... Today Delhiites will decide what they want -- clean Delhi, healthy Delhi, safer Delhi, educated Delhi” she said.
“You are getting two leaders -- Narendra Modi and Kiran Bedi -- from your one vote. Vote is your belief and it is our responsibility to deliver you,” she added.
Voting is underway across 12,177 polling stations in the national capital to elect a new 70-member Assembly.
Bedi is contesting polls from Krishna Nagar which is being considered a safe seat for the BJP.
The latest India TV-CVoter opinion poll, conducted in the last week of January, has predicted that the BJP may touch the magical figure by winning 36 seats. According to the survey, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be the second largest party with 31 seats. The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years at a stretch, may find its tally reduced from eight last time to merely two this time, with 'Others' which include small parties and independents, winning the sole remaining seat.
The results will be declared February 10.
