New Delhi: A day after Delhi went to polls and nearly every exit poll predicted a comfortable majority for the Aam Aadmi Party, its national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday suggested the party volunteers to relax for two days.

He took to Twitter and praised the AAP volunteers for putting up a good show during election campaign.

“Volunteers, you did an amazing job. Relax for two days. Spend with ur family. Sleep. Watch movies. Meditate. Chill. God bless you," he tweeted.

Yesterday after the polls, he thanked the volunteers to work round the clock for the country and also expressed his gratitude towards Delhiites for their support.

AAP spokesperson Ashutosh also desired to meet his old friends and watch movie after a hectic campaigning schedule.

A record 67.14 per cent turnout was registered in the fiercely fought Delhi assembly polls where BJP and AAP are locked in a blockbuster fight, outcome of which may have ramifications on the national political scenario.

The voter turnout is 1.28 per cent higher than 65.86 per cent polling in 2013 Assembly elections. The polling percentage was 65.07 in the Lok Sabha polls in April, 2014.

The results will be out on February 10.
