New Delhi: With four days to go for the Delhi Assembly polls, the war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi party reached a pinnacle when Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reacted to allegations of ‘dubious' funding made to the AAP. Belittling Kejriwal she lashed out, “A chor (thief) cannot decide who will investigate him.”
The Union minister was responding to AAP's demand for a probe against companies, with dubious credentials, that have donated Rs 2 crore to the party.
"If by today evening BJP doesn't initiate probe against these companies, we will go to investigating agencies and ask them to initiate probe," AAP said today.
AAP reacted strongly to Sitharaman's thief remark.
"Not surprised if Nirmala Sitharam is calling Kejriwal 'chor', that is what the political culture they have been born into," AAP leader Ashutosh said.
