New Delhi: Buoyed by exit poll projections showing a clear victory for it, top leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday deliberated on the possible political scenario besides analysing the party's performance in the Delhi Assembly polls.

Speaking at a meeting at his Kausambi residence, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal complimented all the leaders and party volunteers for their hard work and expressed confidence of forming the government.

The party's Campaign Committee took stock of the possible political scenario once the results are announced on Tuesday, a party leader said.

Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Kumar Viswas and Ashish Khetan were among those present in the meeting that began around 2.30 pm and lasted for around one hour.

“It was a general preparatory meeting. The meeting analysed the elections, took stock of the situation and micromanagement of polling booths at the grassroots level during the polling” a party spokesperson said.

AAP had emphasised on booth management ever since its drubbing in the Lok Sabha polls last year when it failed to win a single seat in Delhi.

Sources said issues like how the party should go about if it emerges victorious in the polls were also discussed.

They said Kejriwal also emphasised on keeping things “simple” even if AAP won the polls convincingly.

They said the party may issue do's and don'ts for party MLAs after the results are out.

Following the meeting, Kejriwal accompanied around 30 volunteers to watch Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Baby' at Wave Cinemas near his Kaushambi residence.

All the exit polls have given AAP a decisive edge over BJP with one of them giving it as high as 53 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

After the elections yesterday, various exit polls had predicted a clear victory for the Aam Aadmi Party while projecting BJP to be the main opposition party.

An estimated 67 per cent turnout was recorded on Saturday during the polls where a total of 673 candidates are in the fray for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
