New Delhi: Delhi Police is in the process of filing chargesheet against 21 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia.
Delhi Police claimed that all these 21 legislators have 24 criminal cases pending against them for last two years.
According to sources, the chargesheets may include the names of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Sisodia's name is likely to be figured in the chargesheet for violating prohibitory order during last year's protest at Railway Bhawan.
Charges against others include offences like molestation, storing liquor bottle in premises, etc.
Notably, a total of 44 cases are pending against AAP. Out these, chargesheets have been filed in 20 cases.
AAP Kondli MLA Manoj Kumar is being probed on charges of cheating and forgery, instigating security forces and misbehaving with woman. He has four FIRs pending against him.
Criminal case of cheating/forgery has been filed against ex-law minister Jitender Singh Tomar.
A preliminary probe has been ordered against AAP Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi.
Party MLA from Uttam Nagar, Naresh Baliyan has been booked for distributing alcohol during elections.
Tilak Nagar MLA, Jarnail Singh, is facing probe for assaulting public servant.
