New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today annulled the authority of Principal Secretary (Services) Anindo Majumdar's that were transferred to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Principal Secretary, Rajendra Kumar.
Earlier in the day the confrontation between Delhi CM and Lt Governor took an ugly turn when the AAP government sealed the office of Majumdar. Majumdar, a day after clearing the appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as an acting Chief Secretary, was removed from office.
Majumdar had cleared the appointment of Gamlin as acting Chief Secretary of Delhi for an interim period of ten days because current chief secretary KK Sharma had applied for leave late last week.
On Sunday, The Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal had targeted Gamlin at a public event. The CM had, accused her of 'working for power discoms' and vowed to 'keep an eye on her activities'.
