Delhi elections: Kejriwal may defeat Sheila, BJP in New Delhi, says TNS survey

New Delhi: If a survey by TNS done for The Economic Times is to be believed, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal may cause the biggest upset in Delhi assembly elections by defeating incumbent chief

India TV News Desk Updated on: November 27, 2013 10:51 IST

The survey showed Kejriwal may win more than 40 pc of the votes , 41 pc of male voters, and 42 pc of female voters, followed by BJP candidate Vijender Gupta, pushing Sheila Dikshit to third position.

This survey is sure to ring alarm bells both in BJP and the Congress. If the same trend is noticed in other constituencies in favour of AAP, BJP's dreams of returning to power after 15 years will be dashed, and the Congress may see the end of Sheila Dikshit's distinguished political career.

If Kejriwal wins, it will mark the biggest upset ever in India's national politics and could lead to a completely new trend.
