New Delhi: A day after Delhi Congress launched an awareness campaign against swine flu in city, the BJP demanded Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to provide compensation to the families of the victims of the disease.
Led by the party's state general secretary and MP Ramesh Bidhuri, a delegation of BJP leaders, including Vijendra Gupta, R P Singh and Ashish Sood, met Jung and demanded an all-party meeting for discussions on the issue of rising cases of swine flu in the national capital.
Alleging government hospitals lacked facilities for treatment of the disease, the delegation demanded free treatment for patients and compensation to the families of those who died of swine flu.
