RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his LJP counterpart Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday demanded that the Nitish Kumar government immediately declare entire Bihar 'famine-hit' in the wake of severe drought condition.
"People are dying of hunger and the state government is not doing anything for reaching them relief," Prasad said while talking to reporters in Patna on returning from electioneering in neighbouring Jharkhand.
The state government should immediately declare the entire state famine-hit in the wake of severe condition, the RJD leader said.
Voicing similar demand, LJP leader Paswan said the state government should immediately arrange foodgrains for BPL households and ensure that it had adequate relief materials in the stock. PTI
