Lucknow: Aparna Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger daughter-in-law, has also joined the ongoing beef debate in the country.
Known to be an animal lover, Aparna took to twitter to express her support for the cows, She is said cow is like our mother and consuming its meat is not justified.
“Gai humari maa ke saman hai, aur iska maans khana zayaz baat nahi. Garibon ke beech gai ko katne par jo log aag bharkatey hain, yeh wohi ameer hain jo apni thali mein gau maans paroste hain. (Cow is like our mother and eating its meat is not justified. Those who fuel tension among the poor in the name of cow slaughter are those elite who themselves consume beef),” she wrote on her Twitter handle.
She also said that if cow meat is eaten with rich person's money then India would be called Taliban.

However, she later clarified that her statement should not be seen as a comment on any religion. She added: “Humein apni maa ka sanrakshan karna hi padega (We have to protect our mother)”.
Aparna is the wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger son Prateek Yadav.
