Maharajganj/Siddharthnagar: Continuing her attack on BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, BSP supremo Mayawati today said the country would witness riots if he was voted to power.
“The country will witness communal riots if Modi comes to power. Muslims can stop Modi from coming to power by voting in favour of BSP,” Mayawati said while addressing an election rally here.
She said that BSP has given maximum number of tickets to Muslims and Brahmins this time which no other party has done. Slamming Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Modi, Mayawati said, “Congress is contesting elections on the support of its yuvraj (Rahul) without announcing his name as PM candidate. On the other side, BJP has named a person (Modi) its prime ministerial candidate whose government is always questioned for Godhra riots.”
Attacking SP, she alleged that the rule of law has vanished from UP ever since SP came to power and said murder, theft, dacoity, rape and riots have become the order of the day.
She said that riots in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli have affected Muslim community most.
