Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) demanded here today that the Andhra Pradesh government immediately convene the assembly and table a resolution seeking a "united" Andhra Pradesh.
"Our party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has sought an appointment with Governor ESL Narasimhan to apprise him of the party's stand on the need to convene the assembly and move a resolution to keep the state united, which will bring the stand of all political parties to the fore," YSRCP deputy floor leader B Shobha Nagi Reddy told reporters here.
She said that the YSRCP would write to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, requesting him to convene the AP legislative assembly, while YSRCP MLAs would meet the assembly speaker with a similar request.
