New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan has said that the biggest challenge for Delhi CM-designate Arvind Kejriwal will be to control the newly elected legislators that they don't compromise with the principles of the party on several fronts.
The senior Supreme Court lawyer feared that some people who were taken in the party from opponent parties are ‘completely immoral'.
“Fighting elections is a business for them but I will not say anything further. I will raise these issues within the party," he said.
"Keeping these new MLAs under control so that the principles of the party are not compromised will be a difficult challenge," he added.
He also advised Kejriwal to include only ‘serious credible' in the Cabinet.
Prashant Bhushan, who had distanced himself from the party's campaign after he objected he candidate selection process, said that crucial decisions on issues like subsidies should be taken carefully.
He further stated that government files should be online so that people should know what is happening and what decisions are being taken.
Meanwhile, sources said that a national executive is likely to be called after February 14 to address these issues.
Bhushan added that spending under MLA fund must be audited by an ombudsman.
AAP decimated the BJP and the Congress by recorded a landslide victory, securing 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP managed to bag only 3 seats.
