Srinagar: Congress' Jammu and Kashmir chief Saifuddin Soz today sought a probe into allegations that former army chief V.K. Singh used security funds to in an attempt to topple the Omar Abdullah government in 2010.
”Those who support the probe, I am not upset with them, I support them. There should be a probe,” Soz told reporters here.
Abdullah's National Conference has already demanded a probe into allegations that the technical services division (TDS) of military intelligence paid Rs.1.19 crore to a state cabinet minister to topple the NC-Congress coalition government in the state.
The NC has already said the developments those led to the summer unrest in the Valley in which 110 people were killed in violent clashes between protesters and security forces appeared to have been orchestrated as the disclosures indicated.
