Coming to Gujarat, Singhvi said that in total cumulative debt to percentage of the state GDP, Delhi that was ruled by Congress was the lowest at 7.6 per cent, Gujarat stands at number 13 with 26.1 per cent.
He said that 20 per cent of Gujarat's population has not assets like transistor, television, landline phone, mobile, banking account, scooter or car. Similarly in per capita income at current prices - Maharashtra, Goa and Delhi are higher than Gujarat whereas Punjab is close to Gujarat, Singhvi said.

Singhvi said that decade wise figures in poverty reduction shows that from 1993-94 to 2004-05 which includes 6 years of NDA, the poverty reduction is 0.74 per cent while it is three times more at 2.18 per cent for the decade ending 2011-12.
