Rewari (Haryana): Upset over rebel leader Rao Inderjit Singh's public announcement of resignation and attack on party, Congress today sought clarification from the Gurgaon MP on whether he has quit the party.
"I would request you to clarify your position preferably before October 7. If there is no response from you by October 7, it will be confirmed that you stand by your announcement and you have resigned from the Congress party,” AICC general secretary in-charge of Haryana told the MP in a tersely-worded letter.
Ahmed also reminded him that “neither the PCC nor AICC has received your resignation till now” and noted that “public announcement of resignation from the party is a serious issue.”
