New Delhi: Congress leader Ajay Maken who has been handed the baton to lead the Congress' fight in Delhi Assembly Elections, says that he not a lone warrior, as scoffed off by rivals. Maken said that he was backed by the party's Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who too has been campaigning all over Delhi.
While talking a news channel he said that people have realized that the Congress party is way better than others and that is why they have voted for them all along.
"It is not that people voted us only once, we have been ruling ever after. People bring us back because we perform," said Maken.
On AAP's attempt to bring down power tariff during its 49 days of governance, Maken reiterated his stand saying, "They (AAP) had given Rs 250 crore of tax payer's money as subsidy to private companies. Kejriwal did this to gain some brownie points and fool people of Delhi," Maken added.
Maken expressed his confidence over victory and also refuted support to AAP in anyway.
He asked people to support the Congress party and faith in them.
Ajay Maken, former Union Minister is locked in a fierce battle with his rivals Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal to achieve victory for his party.
