The Congress was in the habit of breaking the promises it made to the people, he said adding that the time had now come for people to break their ties with this party. 

Commending the BJP state government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was also considered as an aspirant for the BJP Prime Ministerial candidature, Modi said during Congress rule, the electricity supply situation in the state was very poor but under Shivraj Singh Chaouhan's leadership, this has improved drastically.

“I felicitate Chouhan for starting the Atal Jyoti Project under which villages are also getting electricity,” he said Modi said in the first over 50 years of Congress rule, Madhya Pradesh was producing 4,500 MW electricity but in the 10 years of Shivraj Singh's rule, the production has come to 11,000 MW.
