New Delhi: Union Urban Development Ministry sent a notice to the Indian National Congress to vacate its four offices situated in posh areas of New Delhi today. The letter, dated January 22 2015, was sent by G.P. Sarkar, Deputy Director of States, Urban Development Ministry.

The notice asks the Congress party to evict four bungalows that had been allotted to the party. Among the properties is, its headquarters at 24 Akbar Road. Other properties are at 5 Raisina Road, 26 Akbar Road and C-II/109 Chanakyapuri.

According to the notice, the allotments of these bungalows were cancelled w.e.f.  June 26, 2013. The notice also states that the party is liable to pay the damage rate of license fee from the day it had been asked to vacate the bungalow.
