New Delhi: Accusing the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party of “betraying” the trust and faith of Delhiites, Congress today said that it will stage a comeback with the support of the people of national capital.  Assuring that it will not make any promise in its election manifesto which cannot be fulfilled, DPCC president Arvinder Singh said that party would conduct “constructive campaigns”.

“People are once again looking towards the Congress party to provide them a stable and sustainable government. The party would not only put up a better show in the Assembly elections, but also stage a forceful return. BJP and Aam Aadmi Party has betrayed the trust and faith of Delhiites,” Singh said.

In a meeting in which several leaders, including Ajay Maken and Sajjan Kumar were present, it was decided that party will launch a door-to-door campaign and raise people-connect issues during campaigning for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Accusing BJP-led Central government of “failing” on all fronts, Maken said, “The Centre had made a false promise that it would bring back the black money stashed abroad and disburse Rs 15 lakh each among the poor people in the first 100 days of its rule. They mislead the people to get their votes, which have now been fully exposed.”

Another party leader Sajjan Kumar said the party's manifesto will offer many relief measures to people living in the resettlement colonies, JJ clusters, unauthorized colonies, villages and slum clusters, as had been done during the time of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.  Haroon Yusuf said, “Party will raise the issue of the rising cases of communal flare-ups after the BJP came to power at the Centre in the coming Delhi Assembly elections.”
