New Delhi: The ruling Congress party today complained to the EC that the BJP is trying to malign the Delhi government through through its hoardings showing prices of onions and tomatoes at Rs 100 and Rs 80 a kg respectively.
In a complaint to the EC, Congress Legal Department Secretary K C Mittal wanted a direction to BJP for immediate removal of the hoardings which, it said, were “totally misleading”.
“As a matter of fact, the price of onion has come down considerably after the Congress government in Delhi started selling it at cheaper rates after permission was granted by the EC,” it said.
