Ludhiana, Nov 6: BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Saturday blamed the Congress for corruption and inflation in the country and lamented that an “honest” prime minister had failed to curb them.
“Corruption and inflation are twin sisters mothered by the Congress party. They have ruined the entire social fabric of the country,” he said addressing the meeting of party workers here.
He said it was ironical that with an “honest and a noted economist” being at helm of affairs, corruption, unemployment and inflation have touched the highest limits. Claiming that the Congress was in bad shape in almost all the states, Gadkari said the NDA would come to power after the next Lok Sabha elections.
He appreciated the performance of the Akali-BJP alliance government in Punjab and claimed that the combine would repeat the Bihar poll results in Punjab also.
