Bhopal: Congress has again reposed faith in former Union Minister, Kantilal Bhuria by giving him ticket for the by-poll in Ratlam-Jhabua Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh.
The party has also fielded a young candidate, Jaiprakash Shastri for the Dewas Assembly by-election in the state.
Both the by-elections are scheduled to be held on November 21.
The party has decided to field Bhuria from Ratlam-Jhabua seat and Shastri from Dewas for the November 21 by-poll, the State Congress Chief Spokesman, K K Mishra said today.
Bhuria contested the last Lok Sabha polls unsuccessfully from Ratlam-Jhabua (ST) seat against BJP's Dilip Singh Bhuria whose demise necessitated by-poll in the tribal dominated constituency.
BJP has given ticket to Dilip's MLA daughter, Nirmala Bhuria to contest the by-poll.
In Dewas, Congress has fielded Shastri, who has emerged from student politics and will be contesting his maiden assembly poll against Gayatri Devi Puar, wife of Late Tukoji Rao Puar.
The by-poll in Dewas was necessitated due to Puar's death and BJP has fielded his wife to cash on the sympathy votes.
Puar is the erstwhile ruler of Dewas.
