Ahmednagar: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare today said he is confident that the Jan Lokpal Bill will be passed in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha shortly. Speaking to PTI here today, he said that he is confident about getting the Jan Lokpal Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow and immediately later in the Lok Sabha.
Anna Hazare's weight has reduced by 4.6 kg today after seven days of hunger strike and he is not in good health, as keytone bodies in his urine have crossed the safety level.
District magistrate Sanjeev Kumar, district police chief R D Shinde and district civil surgeon Ravindra Niturkar met Anna at Yadavbaba temple and requested him to break his fast.
The district magistrate told Anna that all the major ruling and opposition parties have declared their unconditional support to Jan Lokpal Bill. However, Anna told them that he is firm on his stand and would not break his fast.
Meanwhile, villagers in Ralegan Siddhi have declared that they would all join the agitation. They have decided not to go to home but sit with Anna until he breaks his fast.
Students in Ralegan Siddhi and surrounding areas have boycotted schools and colleges tomorrow, while villagers would keep a vow of silence, Ralegan Siddhi village sarpanch Jaysing Mapari said.
