Ahmedabad: Lashing out at the UPA government over price-rise, Gujarat Chief Minister on Tuesday said that those ruling at the Centre had become "insensitive" to the needs of the common people.
"Due to wrong financial polices of the Central government lives of common people of the country has become hell. The Centre is following insensitive policies," Modi said addressing a gathering at a programme organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) here.
"People of the country will seek answers from the Centre on high inflation," Modi said.
He alleged that the Centre has been indulging in activities to disturb the development and social life of Gujarat, even as the state government was engaged in welfare and well-being of its people.
"Gujarat will not tolerate the injustice and will give reply to the Centre in its own language. This is the time to fight for the pride of the state and I hope people of Gujarat will support us in this fight," the Chief Minister said.
Modi attended the function organised by the AMC to name eight flyovers which were recently constructed in the city.
The AMC elections are scheduled to take place in October this year. PTI
