Kolkata: CBI today took leave of Calcutta High Court to move a prayer for cancellation of bail of West Bengal minister Madan Mitra, an accused in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam.
Mitra was granted bail by a city court on Saturday and went home the day after.
A division bench comprising justices Harish Tandon and I C Das granted leave to CBI to serve copy of its petition to Mitra's counsel and move the matter before the court later in the day.
Mitra, who was arrested by CBI in December last, was granted bail by ACJM (in-charge) of Alipore District and Sessions Court Partha Pratim Das.

Mitra had been in state-run SSKM Hospital since February 11 on the ground of illness and went home from there after being declared fit by a Medical Board of the hospital, only a day after being granted bail.
