Raipur, Sep 8: Amid reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may interrogate the chief ministers of some states, including Chhattisgarh, about the allocation of coal blocks, Chief Minister Raman Singh Friday termed this "a waste of time".
"No need to interrogate anyone here. All records are with the central government. Even recommendations made by the state regarding coal blocks allotment are in public domain," Singh said.
He was replying to a question by the media about his possible interrogation along with Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He added that the Chhattisgarh government did not recommend any coal blocks for any company between 2006-2009.
The BJP, which is in power in the mineral-rich state since late 2003, will hold protests Saturday in all 27 districts to press its demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the allocation of coal blocks.
