New Delhi: Narendra Modi was today again at the receiving end of Congress leader Digvijay Singh who dubbed the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate as “Feku Modi” giving “fake” figures of growth, wondering whether a “leopard can change its spots”.

A known detractor of the Gujarat Chief Minister, Singh challenged Modi to have a debate with any Congress leader on issues of governance and development.

Singh also dismissed Modi's talk of inclusive politics.

“Good to hear Modi talking about Inclusive Politics. But can a leopard change its spots ? FEKU MODI at his best. Giving fake figures of growth during NDA regime,” Singh tweeted.

‘Feku' is a colloquial Hindi slang which refers to a person who continuously and shamelessly brags and lies about things or deeds far beyond his capacity.

Soon after Modi addressing his NRI supporters via a video conference launched a full scale attack on UPA, the AICC general secretary trained his guns on the BJP leader through Twitter, alleging that the latter was giving “fake figures” of growth during the NDA regime.

“Congress empowers YOU// Modi empowers HIMSELF! Choice is yours! Modi wants CONGRESS MUKT BHARAT AND WE WANT BHOOK MUKT BHARAT ! (Modi wants India without Congress. We want India free of hunger). He backs PRIVILEGED, Congress backs UNDERPRIVILEGED. Choice is yours !” said Singh.

Modi accused a “vested interest group” of shielding Congress from its “mis-governance” and said the UPA government was “running away” from giving its performance report and asked the people to “uproot” it.
