New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh Sunday hit out at Akhilesh Yadav government in the wake of communal violence in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district in which at least 12 people were killed.
"SP government's track-record in this tenure is bad. Haven't been able to control communal forces in Uttar Pradesh, even BSP's was better," Singh wrote on Twitter.
The Congress leader also attacked BJP saying non-BJP ruled states need to be "more careful" in the wake of communal violence.
"Condemn communal violence in Muzaffarnagar. A homage to the journalist and those killed. All non-BJP ruled states have to be more careful," he said in another tweet.
Urging citizens to maintain peace and harmony, Singh wrote "I appeal to all in Muzaffarnagar and other areas of western UP to bring peace and to fight communal forces."
