Ahmedabad, Dec 20: Soon as news channels gave projections of a hattrick in favour of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi in the Gujarat assembly polls, several BJP workers came to the party office here this morning and shouted slogans in support of Modi.
Several protesters were carrying placards "This is trailer, see film in 2014", clearly indicating that it was time for the party leadership to project Modi as prime ministerial candidate in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Several senior leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Ram Jethmalani (presently suspended) and Shatrughan Sinha had been openly saying they were not averse to Modi being projected as the prime ministerial candidate in 2014, but the party president Nitin Gadkari has been tightlipped over the issue.
Gadkari had been consistently saying that the leader of parliamentary party would be elected only after the 2014 elections.
