He said, Congress has, of late, started talking about “inclusive growth” as BJP ruled states have always emphasised on it.
Modi accused Congress of not doing anything without politics in mind and said it has “eaten away lakhs of crores” of rupees by corruption.
He recalled that during the emergency, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had introduced the 20-point programme for the welfare of the weaker sections of the society and BJP and NDA-ruled states were amongst the top five best performing states, forcing the Congress to stop its monitoring to avoid embarrassment.
The BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate said it only indicated that Congress ruled states had failed to do anything for the poor in the country.
